Miami underdog Zebstar puts his experiences and turmoil into this bubbly and ambient 5-track mixtape, the Keep It Player EP. It carries the overarching themes of growth within the witty edge of Zebstar’s persona, all the while offering slick punch lines and heavy flows. This tape covers all bases through the topics of human interaction, the loss it can provide “S560”, the birth of his daughter “52220”, romance “Red Lamborghini” (which holds super pleasing funky vibes), but by no means does it contain the childish censorship of his eccentric and adventurous life. A raw expression of Zebstar’s true passions and struggles leaves the listener with a clear understanding, and maybe some sympathy for what most would never know about Zeb just by looking at him.
