Coming off the critical acclaim of his EP FaygoFeelings, Florida vocalist Vit6l releases his emotional new single “How It Used 2 Be”. The melodic and vulnerable track introduces a new side of Vit6l, a poet who can pen a kaleidoscope-like look into the artist’s past and current troubles.
The melancholy songwriting on this track shows the diversity of Vit6l’s lyricism. We get a glimpse into the darker side of a person’s mind, he lays out troubles with family and friends that can stain a person’s state of mind for their entire life. “I’m sorry for my mama, I’m sorry for my dad, I’m sorry I was never the kid they wished they had”. A bar like this is just one of the closets Vit6l is cleaning out on this track.
The single comes with an iFStevie directed video. Vit6l can be seen crooning by a lake with a collection of Hello Kitty merchandise. The lyrics pop up at the bottom of the screen to emphasize the painful reality of the words.
