Many artists use their work as a way to release their emotions, but VAYDER. is exceptional at it. The Augusta, Georgia native just released his album F**k, Feelings Again.. amid a period of rapid growth and changing sound. He uses the mic as a therapist and the studio as the office space in which to let all of his true feelings out and introduce them to the world. The experience can be a tearjerker, according to the artist.
“I put the AirPods in and let the universe do her thing, and I just talk myself through the feelings over cool beats until I feel like the weight is lifted,” said VAYDER. “I don’t know it until I’ve heard it a million times but once I play them in the right order and it starts jerking tears, I know the project is complete.”
F**k, Feelings Again.. is written from the perspective of VAYDER. himself, and he hopes that his situation and feelings resonate as well with listeners as they do with him.
“When I hear the project, the story I hear is just a man trying to deal with his trauma the best he can while also growing to be a better man,” said VAYDER. “The story of me, raw and honest.”
VAYDER. experimented with different pitches, adlibs, and other effects to further his new sonic direction. He’s also brewing up new ideas, and he says that he knows he will eventually start writing a new project, but he’s waiting for his head to tell him what those ideas are.
“I write songs where no one can see me, the porch usually,” he explained. “I’m a very introverted person and I’m human, still dealing with emotions and baggage from past situations.”
