Nearly approaching 2021, we continue to see an influx of young hip-hop artists rising from the underground. DMV artist/producer Trill Tron stands at the forefront of this upcoming wave, providing a unique sound to our hip-hop community. Beginning his production career in the 3rd grade, he grew up listening to hip-hop and R&B while taking influence from musical giants like Chief Keef, Soulja Boy, and Drake among others who made him take production seriously. After consistent work and collaboration, Tron dropped his 8-track mixtape “Yeah It’s Tron”. The project is mostly self-produced, with other production contributions from Xangang, Zayskillz, Nine9, Hugo Hef, Dcxshy, and Ignacia.
Although his sound can come across as unorthodox, with off-beat flows and melodies heavy on every track, Tron owned his style all over the project and showed he has what it takes to be the next heavy-hitter in the game. Throughout the tape, he talks about embracing his lifestyle, staying true to himself, and significant life experiences. Having already worked with underground superstars like Duwap Kaine and Lil Tecca, we’re excited to see who Tron can get in the lab with next. Tron tells us to expect collabs with platinum producer Remy as well as a new tape sometime soon.
