Lamont is a talented artist out of Louisiana who has kept a high level of authenticity when it comes to his music and image. He has put out nothing but quality tracks and built up a fan base solely off his own skill. To this point he hasn’t even dropped a full length project nor has he had a single feature on any of his tracks. The way he’s moved and gone about everything is a sure shot recipe for success. July 16th is set for the release of his debut mixtape titled “Love Lamont” and it’s guaranteed to have the rest of the year going crazy. The future holds nothing but great things for him, the only way he can go is up! We discussed his background with music, his upcoming tape, his latest visuals, and much more below.

I changed my name because I thought about the bigger and the better. Lamont is forever and for the better. The boss way.
Talk about your debut tape you’ve got coming out, let everyone know about that.
“Love Lamont”, July the 16th, it’s very special to me because it’s my debut. “Love Lamont” I want everybody to feel it’s a whole new wave. A whole lot of authenticity, whole lot of realness, no fronts all me, whole different energy. It’s very separated.

Yeah that’s off the tape, Red Dots is off the tape for sure.

Who are your go-to’s on the production side of things right now?
Lukrative, 1kdoza, Dumpy Doctor, Dylvinci, and Clibbo. If I missed anyone I’m sorry about that.
Are there any producers you want to work with?
Chuck Strangers, Kirk Knight, Pierre Bourne you know he’s on of the hottest at what he do. I would love to have a song produced by Travis Scott then him hopping on the record.
So what artists would you like to collaborate with, any in particular?
Most definitely Action Bronson and Roy Woods. Most definitely them.
What does the rest of the summer and this year hold for you?
This summer is nothing but work, it’s nothing but work. Getting my tape out “Love Lamont”, about to be one of the best projects of 2018 and then I’m still coming harder. I’m thinking about the future but “Love Lamont” is my main focus of this summer. Definitely getting more visuals and getting more music out, then thinking ahead to what the next project is going to be.
