STREETSURF SLUMPY – Flash Flood Warning EP

If you’re an addict for different types of music than we have a special artist to present to you today. This time from Statesville, North Carolina we stumbled upon STREETSURF SLUMPY, a skater at heart who tapped into his inner beast and found a new love for music; all because of an injury. The skating scene is a big part of the underground music scene overall as a variety of skaters possess high creative capabilities whether it be in fashion, art, photography, design, etc. The Flash Flood Warning EP which he just recently dropped contains 6 tracks completely outlining his versatility. Being that his early music influences were mostly from New York or New Jersey like Nas, Fabolous and Dipset, the South (Three 6 Mafia, Outkast) still provided a countering balance of culture, flows, and sounds. SLUMPY simply wanted to make this project a really fun one. A collection of songs that almost anyone can seriously bump to. He rightfully kicks off by showing out his lyricism in “Africa’s Best” but as you go deeper he completely switches it up. Fact-paced, auto-tuned highway music can be found with “Damn Friends” and “Flav” but our favorite has to be the killer “Altamont Denims”. Overall, this was a very fun EP to listen to and we hope to see how far he will come with his next endeavor! Follow him now!
