SageTwoFour recently released his EP, “On My Way!” and it’s the epitome of what good ambient music should be. Usually, underground artists aim to excite their audience, but sometimes they may go a chiller route. This option allows the listeners to gauge whether the artist is versatile or not, and SageTwoFour proves just that in his most recent work.
The first of the two songs is “Addy!” SageTwoFour let the beat ride for about 45 seconds for the song’s intro. By doing so, he intentionally sets the mood that this is a slower song to which listeners are meant to vibe. And as mentioned before, the music is ambient. The entire beat is low, and his vocals have a lot of echoes to shape this dark but soothing environment SageTwoFour creates.
Secondly, and finally, “Margiela” opens with a melody that sounds like it’s underwater, but as it progresses, the ethereal aspect of the song is brought out. SageTwoFour adds hincredibleeat vocal range on top of the beat to make it have an evident beauty. Ambient music is hard to master and has many subsets, but SageTwoFour nails two of those subsets perfectly on this EP.
