Stepping his way back into the music scene, Mauldin, South Carolina rapper Queso drops off his highly-anticipated project “Hun.” Right away, one could tell the hopeful soon-to-be professional basketball player has concentrated on returning to music not only to be heard, but to make an impact in this game. With just around one year of making music, Queso has already found a fire pocket and it’s shown in virtually every track. Aside from his captivating flows and tone throughout the tape, the aspect that stood out to me the most was how organic and lively listening to it was. When talking about the making of this project, Queso tells us, “The special thing about my tape is that i locked in with my engineer/producer D. Collins, and we made the songs together in about 2-3 sessions. Once we got going we couldn’t stop. The chemistry is unreal between us when we are in the same studio.” Right from the first listen, the Filmswave artist proves it all to be true which leaves old and new listeners excited for Queso’s future. Coming off the project, if he keeps up this musical consistency and gains the exposure his early career deserves, there’s no reason he should not be on everyone’s radar by the end of the year.
