Regardless of your taste for music, there is no denying the musical craft of Philly-raised artist Original God. If you’re unfamiliar with his music, he’s known for diving into a variety of genres like hip hop, emo rap, metal and more. He notes much of his inspiration from life experiences, but some artists who’ve made significant influences include Bring Me The Horizon and Fear of Loathing. In particular, this visual for “Succumb” was created at the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine when he and a friend set out to roam the empty streets of Waikiki, Hawaii. After his direction, Blind Cap Vision went to polishing and editing, thus creating the final visual masterpiece. Original God tells us the track is set to be one of the two singles from his upcoming album Suspirorium which drops August 14th.
Through his music as well as his visuals, it’s quite clear that art is the passion and dedication that drives him to create the supernova of sounds we hear. Or, simply put by the man himself, “If I stopped making art, I’d die”. The Midnight Society member makes it known there’s a lot more than music that meets his eye, including film and graphic design.
