Last month Native Youth released her latest single Lay Me Down. A provocative single produced by LA native, ENCOSY. The music video for the single was just released today and is directed by Alex Anthony Vazquez, who also directed the Understatement music video featuring J.K. The Reaper. Alex Anthony Vazquez is a Cuban-American filmmaker born and raised in Miami, FL who reached out to Native Youth via email after listening to Understatement; they’ve been working together ever since. “It’s an experimental music video. Visually, the goal was to make something avant-garde out of left field with some raw energy that’s reaches out to you. To create a vibe just by being alone with a TV, a relatable point of view. And once you’re tuned in have the music tell the story.” – Vazquez
