Just in time for another amazing artist to bring into the spotlight! Meet Tweak aka Tobi Odeyale. Tobi is a rapper and fashion designer straight from the concrete jungle of New York. If you didn’t know a lot of artists that come from the Northeast usually move around between the adjacent states so they come out with many different cultures within their sound. Tweak came from two lovely Nigerian people who met in Staten Island, currently lives in New Jersey and goes to college in Maryland, WOW! He still kept his NY style though listening to legends like 50 Cent, and kept the OG’s rolling like Kanye, Eminem, and Lil Wayne. Although he started rapping in high school, he took a (we like to call it a hiatus because no one really quits rapping) and got into making clothes and got pretty darn good at it.
Tweak’s sound is still in the works but off some of his great hits alone like “I BEEN”, he likes to deliver a menacing flow. He told the Mag he can adapt to whatever he’s feeling but what comes naturally is hitting pattern right on the head. Musically, he looked up to XXXtentacion, the way he pushed boundaries like no one else, experimenting the best he could. As he continues to find his voice in the rap game, he isn’t backing down from fashion. Through his collective 110, they’re coming out with an awesome brand this fall as well a new collection from his sole brand Waves Supply Co. Although it may seem like Tweak can have his hands full, it’s his authenticity that helps him gain attention. We are excited to see what he has in store!
