Mami Femtai is an upcoming-recording artist who has been in the creative seen for some time now. She is also a model and content creator, inspired by gothic fashion and anime it reflects in her music and aesthetic. Femtai makes music to connect with her growing audience and shares past and present experiences in her music. I had the pleasure of briefly interviewing Femtai, check it out below!
1) Please tell your growing audience a bit about who you are and where you’re from.
I am Mami Femtai , I cook, clean, I’m a mom to a 2 soon to be 3 year old that is my sassy little best friend. I love anime, music my family and friends – I have an obsession for loyalty to myself and who I am to my fanbase. I love to share how I feel constantly and remind people that another day will always come, to not dwell one little things.
Femtai is a created character someone I love came up with and just started calling me that. Femtai is brave, sexy smart and very irresistible she has made many mistakes that have made her into the person she is today . I am from Broward County Florida , born and raised.
2) What inspired you to begin making music?
I ended up getting really sick and wanted a hobby and to get my mind off the bad things , so I decided to pour my heart and soul into a craft that not only I can enjoy but people who have been through similar situations.
3) Name some of your favorite songs you have put out so far.
My most favorite song has to be “ In a hurry,” “Hentai” and “ Me and You.”
4) What is some advice you would give to other upcoming recording artists?
Just be yourself, nobody is going to get you where you wanna be , if you do nothing, nothing is going to happen like a tree, they just sit there while life is just growing around them, ya know? You need to explore and see things and where they stand with you and your limits test them until you cry because that’s when you know that you worked hard for it.
5) Do you have any new upcoming releases you’d like to mention?
I have a mixtape I am currently putting together I’m pretty sure everyone is going to love this one! I have some features as well which is going to surprise a lot of people honestly, I’m excited to show everyone and I have stickers and some merchandise coming soon, possible tour dates as well.
6) Who are some of your musical influences?
I love love love Sade, Aaliyah , R . Kelly , TLC , Ashanti , R & B is my shit lol honestly.
7) Do you plan on going on tour this year?
Tour is definitely looking like the motive, honestly I have so much planed for Femtai and the world its insane, you’ll love it !
