Blackkingkofi is a Trini-Canadian recording artist who has been making music for over a decade now. He began to take his music career even more seriously about 6 years ago when he moved to Canada. An experience which has helped him become a better artist and gain a much broader fanbase. I had the pleasure of interviewing Blackkingkofi, check it out below.
What do you do for a living and Who are you biggest influences?
I’m a recording artist who is focused on his musical career and family. I feel like I’m influenced and inspired by a lot of great people a bit to many to name. I’m excited to release new music this year for my growing fanbase, I have so much in the vault!
What are some of your biggest accomplishments thus far in your life?
My biggest accomplishment is being able to be my own boss. After starting several online businesses which gives me time to see my son grow up, focus on my family and recording music. Growing up without my father around I feel truly blessed that I am able to have time to stay at home with my son.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I see myself competing with myself daily to crush all my goals and ambitions. I’ll also like to release a-lot more music and try other types of creating like art or design.
What legacy do you want to leave behind?
I believe in generational wealth. I want to leave a foundation for my son so he has a smooth life while still know what hard work is all about. I also want to leave behind things I created for example music that people remember me for.
Name one artist you dream of working with (dead or alive)
Vybz Kartel, Soulja Boy, Juice WRLD and Stickz
When did you decide on pursing music?
I found my love for music at the age of 8. But I released my first song professionally in 2018. Before that I would record demos on low quality equipment just for the fun of it.
Are you currently working on any projects?
Dropping my first EP in December all details would be announced soon on my socials.
What can we expect from you in 2022, are you planning on pursuing anything other than music?
You can expect me creating and enjoying my family as usual. I plan on releasing a couple books but I’m honestly open to trying new things if I’m comfortable with it.
