One of the youngest superstars of New York has been making plenty of noise lately with claiming the title of new “King of New York“. Lil Tjay backs that up with his latest project “State of Emergency” as a statement that he’s coming for the top. Most of all, the music video for “Zoo York” celebrates the culture of New York hip hop with contributions from local affiliates Fivio Foreign and the late Pop Smoke (RIP). With this song these three have perfectly captured the rise of New York drill rap today. The video showcases the life of the streets they live and grew up in. Each rapper adds only the best of their work to the song and strengthens Pop Smoke’s legacy as the former leader of this movement. Producers Bordeaux & Non Native did so well with the beat for the rappers to be able to go off in a way that is natural and genuine to who they are and why they do this.
