Broward County’s own Langston Blues makes his debut to Brain Bakery with an interesting project titled “AndyTown”. According to Langston and of course Google, AndyTown was the name of a small community in Broward at the corner of Interstate 75 and and U.S. 27. It was demolished in 1979 to what is now the Alligator Alley area of the county. These 8 tracks depict Langston’s mix of music cultures well as his inspirations reflect in the mood of the tracks. Having been introduced to the studio setting at a young age because of his father, he took a liking to the lane of Outkast, Ice Cube, and Nate Dogg.
He also is more interested in the business savvy side of the music business. In relation to his eccentric flows, he likes to hint on independence and the privilege of being self made. Modest idols like Curren$y and Jay Z painted the way for Langston to relate to a more humble sound. His son and family are his biggest reasons for why he goes so hard. One of our favorite songs, “Im Baked” though early in the tape, just uber highlights the gist of how it really is to experience life in Broward County. Truly a well put together project. But we like to hear it from you. Follow him to keep up!
