Kentucky has been holding some quality underground talent on the low. We were brought this gem from Lexington’s Lane Allen featuring Steven Cannon in “New Whip”. Though you may think it’s just an ordinary country state, some people like Lane had it hard growing up. At 15, he was forced to live on his own and witnessed the murder of a close friend the next year. These solemn experiences changed him, to where now at 20 years old he had to adapt to life in a different way which reflected on his music.
He has some major potential in his heart that you can hear in some of his other songs. This track is the sequel to a previous collab with Steven last year called “Ok”. We should be expecting a visual on that hopefully within the next couple of months! Despite his past, Lane Allen is well on his way to growing himself into a respected artist.
