L0veaca recently released his EP “B4RNSTAR.” It’s a six-song ep, filled with some of the best production to come out of the underground. Nowadays, listeners are starting to hear more and more artists with mesmerizing cadences, but Loceaca’s definitely stands out the most.
Throughout most of the EP, L0veaca‘s voice remains husky, low, and direct. However, combined with his high-pitched adlibs, the opposite energies collide to make one of the more interesting sounds. Based on the EP, it’s clear he has a grasp over his beat selection. He seems to like beats layered with multiple leads and various tones. For example, from one song to another, the tone of the lead gets lower and lower until he ends off the EP with his lead single, “Drain Gang.”
One of the better performing songs is “Way too Iced.” It’s a blueprint for a dark, ambient song with that trending buzzing bass. But, for an ambient piece, L0veaca decides to keep the pace up and tell people that he plays too nice. This song was the turning point in his life when he chose to show that he genuinely has more potential than a lot of other rappers nowadays.
