One noticeable difference between this generation’s musical landscape versus the past’s, is the influx of international artists. Jan Metternich, a 17 year-old pop/hip-hop artist from Germany is another prime example. Being an avid guitar player and music writer for ten years molded him to the artist he his today and has helped him gain over five million streams in over 100 countries on Spotify. His latest song, “Dead End” provides yet another boost to his discography as he tells us his inspiration for this song stemmed from a previous heartbreak as well as from a guitar riff he made at 12 years old.
