A hidden gem coming out of the west coast, newly reincarnated $hin introduces us into his world of sounds with his single “Happy Times”. This motivational piece can instantly become a favorite from the first listen. $hin inspired by Shin Chan, formerly known as OriginalYL, was born in Portland, Oregon but raised in Vancouver. He’s as north as it gets so you would think not a lot of rhythm goes on up there. But he’s been into music his whole life, always trying to entertain and be the center of attention.
His father co-owned a studio so $hin basically lived and breathed music from the core. Around ’08, a good friend gifted him a mic and program to record on and the kid never looked back. He discovered himself through his tunes and started to flourish. He was studying and performing in Salt Lake City, Utah with good friends A.G.E . raging and making magic alongside each other. He even got to collab with a SLC native artist Brixx which produced this beauty “The Highest” produced by Richard Agadjanian who mainly produces the impressive beats that $hin spits his knowledge on like an ode to his old self “YLTheBeast”. He gives great meaning to his tracks, though he can have fun too; the substance is what’s addicting. He’s very articulate in laying out stories and lessons in these tracks. There’s a lot more to unfold of him but you need to see for yourself. There is a lot of music being made that will get to YOUR ears soon so be on the lookout.
