Guwop Reign pours his heart out on the album’s opening song and title track, “Me First.” He explains that this album is the defining moment where he will start to put himself before others. The lifestyle he lives may be lavish and has materialistic commodities that other people may be able to have, but what Guwop sheds light on are the much worse drawbacks of being a person like him.
What makes this album so great is Guwop Reign‘s vulnerability. Obviously, his performance on every song is stellar, but that was expected. What makes this song stand out is Guwop’s openness. Guwop gives his fans a roller coaster of emotions throughout this underrated album, along with his mesmerizing vocal range and beat selection.
