Frankie X – Heartbreak Summer (project)

Tampa-raised artist Frankie X is quickly proving he deserves a chance in more people’s rotation. After just recently giving music a serious shot (2017), he’s released his debut project “Heartbreak Summer.” In essence, Frankie tells us the project “outlines my own experiences with love and heartbreak, previous entanglements (shoutout Jada), and overall has some very relatable content. My goal with it was to create music people could resonate with, especially those who have experienced their fair share of heartache.” After listening, it was clear the description matched the music beautifully. With a total of nine songs, Heartbreak Summer features a variety of Frankie’s flows from high-tempo lyrical tracks like “11:30 Freestyle, Pico, and Lone Stone,” to more vocal-heavy melodic tracks like “H.E.R, All Me, Say Sumthin and Missed Calls.” His ability to seemlessly alter from his singing, melodic tones to his rapid rap verses was nothing short of impressive. Although many don’t know that key ideas and content for this project were continuously changed, listeners could rest easy that the final product was well-worth the adjustments.

Although he’s fully independent, Frankie belongs to a Tampa-based music collective called “Outside World” which consists of artists, producers, photographers, engineers and more! Having already amassed over 80,000 streams on Spotify, as well as opened up for acts like MadeinTYO, Fivio Foreign, and Baby Goth, Frankie is clearly on a mission to become one of the next groundbreaking artists. Even though he has no song set to release before summer 2021, more collaborations and music videos are on the horizon.
