EddieDreams – Interplanetary

Kicking off his new album with Brain Bakery, nomad Floridian Eddie Dreams gives us a far out introduction into his realm with Interplanetary. Mr. Dreamer was born in Hialeah but has been living in Port St. Lucie majority of his life. He didn’t even starting off liking rap music let alone rapping. It actually took awhile to get to that point. From the early days of Guitar Hero, almost everyone was put on to alternative rock, in Eddie’s case mostly Metallica, Vampire Weekend, and The Ramones among others. In middle school, he convinced his dad to take him to a record store so he can get a greatest hits mixtape from the 80s (interesting choice) which basically introduced him to basic rhyme schemes from favorites like Kurtis Blow’s “The Breaks”. Come high school, he got heavily into beats and had to learn to break from the comfort zone of anti-socialism. But in doing so, he managed to create a spiderweb network of potential connections all through his production talent.

What Eddie has personally told us, was that his artistry with “Eddie, The Dreamer” is actually partially a cartoon that he feels better explains the bits and pieces of his life that we perceive to be make-believe. Though tracks like “Eater” and “Psychic Ward” pose slightly more bad-ass vibes than killin tracks like our favorite “Interplanetary”, Eddie very much likes to keep the peace. Every song does pose a different “chapter” so to say within the theme of the whole project. The perfect pitch auto-tune and intergalactic-sounding beats just all around made for a well put together album. His goal was to make everything a magical experience from the 1st to the 13th track, very similar to the way Astroworld perfectly flowed in with one another. It’s no question we will see his vivid imagination once again. Make sure to follow him and stream Interplanetary on all platforms!
