Coming off his most popular song “Drunk on Drugs” San Clemente, California artist DYLVN returns with his new single, “Johnny D.” Immediately after my first listen I knew it would be the perfect song for the upcoming summer with it’s catchy guitar-heavy production and vocals to match. As for the themes/topics explored in the song, DYLVN dives into it by saying, “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve met someone new and the convo is so dry from the opposing end. Anything you say or do is spoken straight through them because they think you’re just like the rest of em and have nothing to benefit from talking to you. This song is about not forgetting someone’s true colors on your first impression… because when things are goin’ they come back around.” Much like his debut album “Falling Far From Home” where he talks heartbreak and life experiences, DYLVN returns with his introspective lyricism which is personally my favorite aspect of his music. With Johnny D being the lead single, listeners can expect a new EP next month.
