Up until a certain time, people didn’t resonate with “distorted” and unleashing an inner demon within rap well until someone like XXXtentacion flooded the music industry with nothing but that. With an influence that great, it was inevitable that he would inspire many Florida residents to really show their true colors in music. Much like this double threat producer later artist DRIPP who would join that path of creative expression, it all started when he was 12. From Lakeland, Florida, he was a confident producer who went by the name of MURDOCKMUZIK. Dating back to his school days where he would spend his time in the media studio making his beats. It wasn’t until he stumbled upon an old USB microphone that he brought it back to his music partner PlayHouseTrippin and decided to dabble in rapping over his beats. Once the big hit “Look At Me!” cornered every playlist, MURDOCKMUZIK felt like it was time to begin another passion as DRIPP.
With this EP, DRIPP took us on an emotional journey. All stemming from feelings he had to create within himself so he could reach out to people who felt what he was rapping about. He wanted to make sure at the same time that these songs would still be bumpable in the car. Of the three songs, the last one “Don’t Leave” is the one that really ties it all together and was the one that you could feel in your soul the pain DRIPP felt when his heart was broken and felt like karma was to blame for it all. Very well put together project that you wouldn’t regret taking a peep. Follow him now!
