Denai Tenkara – Oblivion (prod. Phosphate)

Coming in super headstrong and ominous, Atlanta artist Denai Tenkara slithers onto the Mag while sticking to his Dallas roots in “Oblivion”. Phosphate matched the dark, twisted vibe in his production, helping Denai obliterate his frustration on the track. Fun fact though; this track was recorded in an abandoned warehouse! Denai took to music in sophomore in high school, listening to mostly Earl Sweatshirt, where him and his close friends pursued their dreams as Texas HXC Band Outsider’s Aspect. Unfortunately, the group couldn’t live on for long after the death of one band member, Tank. Denai continued to rap keeping his friend in spirit since he was one of the only people who encouraged Denai’s transition from rock to hip-hop. Keeping his head high, he figured out what worked best for him and is super vigilant with mixing the two genres. Overall, this young man’s drive is admirable and we shall continue to keep a look out. Follow and stream “Oblivion” now!
