Cashus King links with Blu for new single “Black Israelis (The New World)”

California artists Cashus King and Blu have returned with a new release titled “Black Israelis (The New World)”, with production from clouded slum. A lead single from King’s upcoming album, The W.O.W. (The Weight of Wind), releasing June 17, “Black Israelis (The New World)” is a refreshing and vivid track that once again finds King and Blu at the top of their lyrical game.

“Black Israelis (The New World)” features warm, atmospheric production that provides an uplifting backdrop for King and Blu’s vivid, poetic verses. They weave together dynamic rhyme patterns atop organic percussion, rich guitars, and expansive vocal samples. Their flows are sharply-crafted and dynamic, as they attack the track with substantial and creative lyrics that inspire the listener to think deeply.

Of the single’s subject matter, King says, “in a way, I consider myself a Black Israeli and a Black Palestinian, conceptually. Black Israelis, not to be confused with Black Israelites, is a metaphor for overcoming hardship and adversity. Both the Palestinians and the Jewish people (although not all Israelis are Jewish) have been historically persecuted, and like the Blacks of America, they thrive on. Blu and I represent the struggle of artistry, the struggle of blackness, and the struggle of humanity”.

“Black Israelis (The New World)” is a lead single from Cashus King’s new album The W.O.W. (The Weight of Wind), releasing June 17.
