While we spend most of our time covering the mainstream artists that we hear every day, we also appreciate the underdogs of the scene that take the time to construct projects on a different personal level. Blazier, from the quaint town of Bastrop, Louisiana, was able to achieve the sense of hard work and dedication in his new album These Things Take Time. There is an inspirational timeline in Blazier’s life, stemming from dropping his first project, Black Soul, on DatPiff in 2015 to a small hiatus to being here today with a self-sense of purpose in this new project.

In the early years of our generation, moguls like Eminem were responsible for inspiring the kids to go after their dreams even if it seems out of reach. Mixing in the principles of Mac Miller, NF, Joyner Lucas, and Lil Peep, you are presented with a troubled soul truly in touch with his feelings and a real ear for melodies as heard in this album. As you follow through in each of the 14 tracks, it is literally a roller coaster of emotions and self reflection. The Mag’s personal favorite had to be “Death Threats” because we in South Florida, though we do like slow and meaningful, we also appreciate fast and eccentric beats with the corresponding, mind blowing bars. Blazier had the help of amazing producers to help put everything together including the buzzing Taysty Beats who also engineered the entire album. Unlike his other work, Blazier believes he put real time and effort into this collection of songs, hence the name, and we appreciate attention to detail.
