Never judge a book by its cover. I didn’t expect much just by looking at it but after watching the video for “Five Stars“, I was surprised and heavily impressed. Off rip I thought Based was just a Spanish Roddy Richh. Not many rappers these days come from Honduras but he reps it proudly with his persona and music. The video itself shows his latin influence with Spanish ranch settings and themes. The instrumental as well is made with an instrument used in latin music as a an acoustic sample. When the beat drops as hard as it does, Based follows closely with impeccable flow. He switches it up from fast raps to sung out one liners in a way as good as how Roddy Richh does. The best part about it is how he flawlessly sneaks in transitions to rapping and singing in Spanish. A great piece of content from an aspiring rapper with the help of music video director Ghapo doing what he does best to tell a story.
