Marcos “Artista” Alvarado is an 18 year old artist who also owns his own casual/street wear brand named MBM. He was born in Puerto Rico but currently resides in Dallas. Marcos Artista says he gains inspiration for his drawings from everything; vintage films, photography, music, and channels whatever mood he is in into his art work. He began to draw at the tender age of 3, drawing before he could even walk or talk. His skill set is more than evident in his drawings.
He work has been recognized by rapper(s) such as Thouxanbanfauni, one of his drawings was used as cover art for the song “Flyin”. Even the noteable AWGE member Asap Twelvyy has recognized Marcos Artista’s work. He loves clothing/dressing just as much as he loves drawing; gaining inspiration for his style by his father’s influence. He wants his art work and brand to become bigger than they already are. He expressed how important it is for him to keep in-coming projects under wraps until he is finished “I don’t go on twitter talking about how fire these clothes I’m about to release are or how nice this drawing I’m working on is coming out. I simply just do it.” He holds a high standard for himself, making sure he remains consistent and his next drawing is better than the last. I believe we can all agree he is bound for great things.
