Eman Gorrin is an artist, musician and a student of neuroscience at the University of Miami. He’s been drawing for much of his life, and began to take his art more seriously around the age of 10. Gorrin’s main motivation for his drawings is his love for life, and passion for knowledge. “I live an enriched life of discovery because I view science as an art, and art as a science. Many believe science and the arts are at odds with one another—I believe one cannot exist without the other. As a student of neuroscience, much of my art seeks to bring light to the qualities that art and science share; namely, the search for truth.”
I feel this approach to art is timeless. Some of the greatest artists of all time, such as Leonardo Da Vinci, tied science/math, and art together to show that it’s truly all connected. This unique approach will not only continue to feed the minds of those who are already intrigued by art, but help further expand this mentality: the search for truth. Gorrin has been printing some of his designs on t-shirts, which were recently featured at the Miami Zine Fair, and is also working to release a line of original apparel this summer.
