Not everyday you come across an artist who is takes into account our culture and notions of how the music industry works. Here we have theworldsours a 29 year old Haitian-American residing out of Broward County, Florida dwelling into the imagery of this field.
Not only does he have an eye for satire art he aims to create illustrations and designs for people to connect with and bring awareness of what goes on behind the curtains of the mainstream media. He states “Nowadays, a lot of people flood our timelines with meaningless content just for CLICK BAIT or retweets. It’s time for thought provoking artwork to make its way to the front lines of mainstream media” which is an interesting way to open eyes, revolutionize and bring meaning to ones art.
When asked what brings a fire to his imagination artist such as Banksy, Oliver Harrington & Aaron McGruder have played key roles in giving him a push towards that creative state. “Music is also one of my biggest influences as well. Just put on anything with a fire instrumental and I’m in my zone.” he replies.
The journey of a creative can be beautifully painful, with the knowledge and understanding how to create something from nothing is a key role in an artist life. So if the tools aren’t there you have to make due with what you have. “Over the years I’ve done A LOT of trial and error. Persistence is what got me to where I am today. That, and of course the help of YouTube University. I’m definitely sure I’m an alumni, if there is even one.” He couldn’t of said that any better.
theworldsours has a game plan and its one for the masses. He states “Who knows what the future holds but I do aim to have a published children’s book. As well selling my sticker designs that will get recognized GLOBALLY. How does the old saying go,”speak it into existence.”
