LongLiveTheChef reigns from the dirt roads and backstreets (as he claimed) of the Palmetto area of the West Coast of Florida. TheChef has been drawing since he was five years old; becoming motivated to do so not only by his own imagination but because of a drawing contest they had for kids at his local church, where the winner would get a Toys R-US gift card. Filled with confidence after winning twice, he continued his passion and by the age of 12 began to draw digitally and take photographs. Now his work consists of everything from paintings to digital drawings, clothing and literature. “My motivation is realizing that everyday that I wake up I have the opportunity to create something that may inspire another person to create. I will always see art as an extension of the creator because it all starts as a thought in their mind and is crafted by them. Each piece has your DNA because you created it and every time you create, it’s a display of everything that you’ve learned up to that moment.”
Here are a few things LongLiveTheChef has going on in the near future:
June 1st – Betty Dawl’s “Spectrum” Art Show @The Bricks in Ybor City, Florida
June 9th – The FOUL Hundreds’ “Nameless” Showcase in Hialeah, Florida
June 10th – NeX “Art Trap” Event @ Sawgrass Teahouse & Gallery in St. Petersburg, Florid
