There are very few times where I could recognize immediate talent and impact in an artist. 19 year-old artist 1600j happened to recently be one of them. After noticing him shine on features and build the sound he has today, I can see he’s a certified sleeper in hip-hop today. His latest project “Carry the Plug” confirmed that. The Bronx, New York rapper compiled a heavy list of 5 tracks produced by the talented and overlooked produced Kxngrada. Funny enough, 1600j tells us the project came about right after a break up, and what better way pass that than dropping a highly-anticipated project. Throughout the mixtape, he delivers a variety of flows and melodies that shine over the beautiful production. In “Fake Love 2,” he calls on New York native and upcoming star Pasto Flacco and both team up for a memorable song as expected. 1600j executes a strong catalogue and continues to show us that his name shouldn’t be in the shadows for much longer.
